There was a bird from paradise
As precious as can be
Hardly did it realize
Its presence moved the sea
Its wings where broader than its mind
It could fly anywhere
Its feathers softly touched my cheek
And lit up all the air
This bird was meant to fall in love
With beauty and with glow
Hardly did it realize
His heart could melt the snow
This bird landed a little while
To celebrate the earth
Hardly did it realize
To magic it gave birth
And so this bird flew up again
Far to his spacious place
Hardly will it realize
He turned grief into praise
